Fraud Prevention Tools
Mercury's Fraud Prevention Tools allow Mercury clients total control of payments being received from the web and client sites. The FPT's are access through the secure Mercury Website and is a range of options that the merchant configures when setting up their Mercury account.

The FPT suite includes such Merchant Rules as:

• limiting the number of transactions that can be received from a Credit Card in a day/ week/month or year
• Block IP addresses from particular countries
• Block BIN (Bank Identification Numbers) of particular banks or suspect cardholders
• Black suspect Credit cards by their Primary Account Number (PAN) or by their IP address
• Set purchase restrictions of unknown cardholders
• Real time bank authorisation on all online transactions to ensure the card is not stolen
• Enforces that Cardholders must input their card CVV
• Enforces that Cardholders must subscribe to service such as Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code.

Other services to be offered in the next few months include Address verification for Australian, US & UK cardholders.
